Over the past few years, I’ve hunted down quite a few rare bottles, assembling what is now the most extensive collection of rare Blanton’s ever put together. The only one missing is the elusive 2012 La Maison du Whisky edition—no known collector has ever surfaced with it, and only a single photo exists. Beyond that, I’ve managed to track down everything else listed on this site, including the only known surviving bottle of the highest proof Blanton's ever bottled at 141.9 proof. My collection also includes a substantial amount of vintage Blanton’s-related merchandise, mostly from Japan.​
 

My collecting journey has taken me across the world, both physically and virtually, in search of Blanton’s. The most common question I get is how I’ve managed to acquire so many rare bottles—some with only a handful of known examples in existence. The answer is pretty straightforward: like anything else, if you put in enough time, effort, and, of course, financial resources, almost anything is possible.​

With several annual special-release bottles produced for European markets, the hunt never really ends. That said, tracking them down is relatively easy, so my collection always stays current. Below, you’ll find a video and several photos of my Blanton’s-themed basement bar—a great place to have a pour and reflect on the level of taterness I’ve achieved. Thankfully, it’s well protected by sufficient insurance and the Second Amendment!​

These days, you can often find me displaying many of my rare bottles at the Buffalo Trace Gift Shop, where I sign autographs and chat with fellow Blanton’s bourbon seekers about once a month.
